UPES AAPG STUDENT CHAPTER
TOGETHER I TOWARDS I TOMORROW
ABOUT
UPES AAPG
SpiritAAPG
The chapter took its first breath on 21" November 2012. Under the mentorship of our faculty advisor, Dr. Uday Bhan, and a committee of about 70 students, we have completed our 8th year as an active bench of AAPG. The chapter was started to promote education and networking opportunities in the domain of petroleum geology, organize field trips and guest lectures, and developing other mediums of educational and professional interface.

FROM THE DESK OF OUR FACULTY ADVISOR
Dr. Uday Bhan
Faculty Advisor,
UPES AAPG Student Chapter
UPES AAPG Student Chapter originated in 2012, is a bench of the globally recognized AAPG Foundation. With a vision to empower motivated students and curb the academia-industry gap, the team actively conducts 40+ events throughout the year. In eight years, our team has conducted four editions of international workshops and conferences, named CRUST. Our members have been awarded the prestigious L. Austin Week's Undergraduate Grant since 2014 and, our chapter won it as an independent organization in 2019. These achievements have only been possible because of our ceaseless determination and teamwork, which proves true the famous quote, “When a team plays, anyone can be the man of the match but in the end, the whole team wins.” It is my honor to act as the Faculty Advisor of Team UPES AAPG. Our team has time and time again converted dreams into reality and, I hope we will keep scaling greater heights.
